Our Story

How It Started

담담스테이가 지어지기까지

Daam Daam Stay began as a tangle of grass and volcanic stone on a hillside in Aewol, Jeju — a plot with little more than a view of the sea. Over many months it became a house of concrete and wood, shaped slowly by hand and weather. “Daam daam” (담담) means calm, unhurried, quietly content — the feeling we hoped every guest would carry home. The photographs below trace the build, from the first cleared earth to the garden that now wraps the house.

The build is finished and the doors are open. Concrete and cedar outside; warm wood, white walls and wide glass within. Every room holds a view — the sea to the north, Hallasan to the south, the garden all around. This is Daam Daam Stay as it is today.

How to Book Daam Daam Stay

Daam Daam Stay takes reservations through Naver, Korea's map and booking service. The booking page is in Korean — these four steps walk you through it.

Open the booking page. Use the button below — it opens Daam Daam Stay on Naver Map in a new tab.
Translate the page (optional). In Chrome on a computer, right-click the page and choose “Translate to English”. On a phone, use your browser’s translate option.
Open the reservation tab (예약) and choose your dates. Pick a check-in and check-out date, then a room type and the number of guests.
Enter your details and confirm. Add a name, phone number and payment. Naver sends a confirmation by text and email.
